Special instructions have been issued for fans attending the upcoming Champions Trophy match at Gaddafi Stadium, Express News reported.

The international event, hosted by Pakistan, will feature a match between England and Australia at the stadium. Comprehensive traffic and security arrangements have been finalised and officially announced.

According to Lahore’s Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), over 1,000 traffic police personnel will be on duty during the match.

He assured that there will be no tolerance for wrong parking, and 20 forklifts and 4 breakdown vehicles will be on standby to handle any violations.

As part of the parking plan, spectators arriving from Defence will park at CBD by taking a left turn from the Centre Point at Firdous Market.

Those arriving via Ferozepur Road will park near Government College Gulberg after turning from Kalma Chowk to National Park.

Fans from Defence and Cantt areas will park in Liberty Park after taking routes from Hussain Chowk or Sherpao Bridge via Main Boulevard Gulberg.

The traffic authorities have confirmed that no road will be permanently closed, and all roads, including Mall Road, Jail Road, and Canal Road, will remain open. Ferozepur Road and Main Boulevard Gulberg will also continue normal traffic flow.

Authorities urge spectators to refrain from parking in unauthorized areas and park only in designated parking spaces. The public will be informed about traffic conditions through the Rasta App and Rasta FM 88.6.

In parallel, Punjab Police has issued its security plan for the event. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed that adequate security measures be taken to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators.

A heightened security presence will monitor all routes, stadium surroundings, and tall buildings, with snipers deployed for additional protection.

Over 12,000 police officers and officials will be stationed during the match. Specialized units such as the Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, and Elite teams will patrol key locations. Additionally, the Safe City cameras will monitor all routes and critical areas during the event.
