Back-to-back robberies terrify Haripur residents | The Express Tribune



HARIPUR:

Bandits appear to rule in Khalabat as four incidents of robbery at gunpoint were reported in different areas.

The Khalabat police failed to control the increasing number of incidents. The robberies were reported in three major sectors of Khalabat within half an hour of each causing fear and panic among the citizens. Two of the affected citizens filed a report at Khalabat police station.

According to the reports, the incidents took place during Isha prayer hours when an unknown group of robbers on motorbikes held citizen Sher Ali Khan Tanoli hostage at gunpoint in the street of Water Tank No. 2, as he was returning after offering Isha prayers, and robbed him of Rs45,000 in cash, a valuable mobile phone, his identity card, a Saudi driving license and other valuable documents before escaping.
