BAHAWALPUR:
A labourer shot dead a fellow worker after they exchanged harsh words over a petty issue in Chani Goth.
Police and rescue officials said the two labourers working in an agricultural field near Abu Dhabi Canal exchanged harsh words over a petty issue and one of them opened fire at other.
“The victim suffered bullet wounds in leg,” they said. A rescue team rushed to the spot with an ambulance, but the victim had expired due to excessive bleeding. The body was shifted to Tehsil headquarters hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased was identified as 30-years-old Asghar Ali, resident of Chakwani in Ahmadpur East. The police registered a case against the suspect and launched an investigation.
