DALLAS: In a remarkable achievement, Dallas attorney Pakistani-American Haroon Hashmi, a rising star from the well-known Hashmi family, has been named to the prestigious list of Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for 2026.

According to statistics, only 2% of early-career attorneys in the United States receive this recognition, making Haroon’s selection even more significant. Haroon’s academic background is equally impressive. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The University of Texas at Dallas, where he held several key positions in the student government, including Chairman of the Student Affairs Committee and General Secretary. He later obtained his Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating Cum Laude, and was an active member of the National Security and Armed Conflict Law Review.
Most recently, Haroon completed a Health Care Strategy certificate programme from Harvard University, focusing on aligning business strategy with the complex challenges and structures of the healthcare industry.
Professionally, Haroon has worked with several prominent law firms, including Thompson Coe, Clark Hill Law, and currently serves as Senior Counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the world’s leading international law firms.
This recognition reflects Haroon’s high standards, strong reputation, and exceptional performance in the field of Health Care Law. The Ones to Watch distinction serves as both an award and certification, celebrating young, talented attorneys whose work is being acknowledged at a national level.
Haroon is the youngest son of Dr Hassan Hashmi, a well-known Republican leader in the Dallas healthcare business community, and Salma Hashmi, the former mayor of Wesley Chapel, Florida.
