  • “You fought Pakistan’s case with national spirit…”.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday lauded former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and other members of a high-level diplomatic delegation for exposing Indian propaganda and effectively presenting Pakistan’s position during visits to US, UK and Europe.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, the PPP chairman met the prime minister and briefed him on the outcomes of the delegation’s engagements with international counterparts during the diplomatic tour.

The prime minister acknowledged the team’s work in promoting Pakistan’s narrative at a critical time and praised the success of their diplomatic engagements.

He was of the view that Bilawal presented Pakistan’s viewpoint in an extremely effective manner.

The Bilawal-led high-level diplomatic delegation visited world major capitals during the 11-day tour. It presented Pakistan’s stance and highlighted New Delhi’s provocations and aggression against Islamabad.

It also cautioned the international community about India’s increasingly aggressive stance and its potential to destabilise South Asia.

Members of the parliamentary delegation include Hina Rabbani Khar, Sherry Rehman, Dr Musadik Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Tehmina Janjua, Bushra Anjum Butt and Syed Faisal Subzwari.

PM Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner in honour of the delegation members to recognise their contribution, the statement read.

The prime minister extended his congratulations to the delegation for effectively and powerfully representing Pakistan’s perspective on the international stage, saying “You fought Pakistan’s case with the national spirit and returned successfully.”

“They [the delegation] represented Pakistan’s stance with the national zeal during their visit to the United States, United Kingdom and Europe and it was being acknowledged not only in Pakistan but also around the world, the prime minister observed,” PM Office quoted the prime minister as saying.

The delegation presented events ranging from Pahalgam to the Indus Waters Treaty in the right context and an admirable manner, he added.

“By the grace of Almighty Allah, with the prayers of the nation and due to the military professionalism of our brave armed forces, India had to pay a heavy price for its unjustified war hysteria,” the press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.

In the 2025–26 fiscal budget, he further said, efforts had been made to provide relief to all segments of society, including salaried individuals and thanked all the allied parties, including the PPP, for their cooperation in the budget preparation process.

“I hope your guidance, cooperation, and suggestions will help us overcome both internal and external challenges, InshaAllah!,” he added.
