In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the highest rainfall was recorded in Malam Jabba 69, Parachinar 23, Charat 15, Saidu Sharif 10, Lower Dir, Takht Bhai, Kakul 05, and Balakot 04.

In Kashmir, rainfall was recorded in Rawalakot 11, Muzaffarabad Airport 10, Muzaffarabad City 06, and Garhi Dupatta 03. In Balochistan, Barkhan received 02 millimeters of rainfall.

The highest recorded temperatures were 46 degrees Celsius in Dalbandin, Sibbi, and Jacobabad, while 45 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nokundi, Rohri, and Mohenjo-Daro on Thursday.

The Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in southeastern/northeastern Sindh, Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northeastern/southern Balochistan. Isolated areas may experience downpours, particularly during night hours.

Meanwhile, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, and northeastern/southern Balochistan on Friday, with heavy downpours possible at some places.

The PMD has issued a warning regarding potential flooding and other hazards due to heavy rainfall expected between June 26 and 28. During this period, torrential to extremely heavy rains may cause flash floods in seasonal streams and drains in Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Nowshera, Swabi, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, northeastern Punjab, and Kashmir.

On June 27 and 28, specifically, flash flooding is expected in the local and rain drains of Musa Khel, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Qalat, Dadu, and Qambar Shahdadkot.

Heavy rainfall is likely to cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Peshawar. Additionally, low-lying areas of Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, and Karachi are also expected to experience urban flooding on June 27 and 28.

The department has also warned of potential damage to daily life due to strong winds/thunderstorms, which may harm weak infrastructure, including electric poles, vehicles, and solar panels. Additionally, the mountainous regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, and Kashmir face increased risks of landslides that may affect road traffic.
