Rain brings relief to Punjab’s weather during Ramadan | The Express Tribune

Listen to article

Rainfall in various cities of Punjab has brought a welcome relief from the heat, with the weather turning pleasant across the region.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a weather system bringing rain is currently affecting most districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Express News reported.

The rainfall has caused temperatures to drop, improving the overall weather conditions for residents.

The rain is expected to continue until March 16, with Lahore experiencing a minimum temperature of 16°C and a maximum of 27°C.

Other parts of central and upper Punjab are also likely to receive rainfall. The cooling effect from the rain has provided some comfort to fasting residents during Ramadan.

Yesterday, it was reported that a rain-bearing weather system is set to enter Pakistan tonight, bringing chances of showers across Punjab from March 14 to 16, the Meteorological Department has forecast.

Currently, dry weather prevails across most districts, with shifting cloud cover and rising temperatures. Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to be 17°C, while the maximum may reach 29°C.

Earlier, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had predicted rain from March 9 to 16, but no significant precipitation has been recorded so far.

The Met Office expects mostly dry conditions to persist today, though cloud cover will offer brief relief from the sun.
