Relatives blame doctor for woman’s death | The Express Tribune

DIJKOT:

A woman died during treatment in a clinic, prompting allegations from her relatives that a doctor had administered her a wrong injection.

The area police reached the spot and took possession of the body to launch an investigation into the incident.

Shakeela Bibi, a resident of the 53/3 area, had gone to a clinic in Mamo Kanjan to get medicines. The doctor allegedly administered her an injection, following which her health deteriorated and she died soon afterwards.

Dozens of relatives of the deceased gathered at the clinic and protested, demanding action against the doctor.

On receiving information about the incident, police officers including the SHO of Mamo Kanjan reached the spot. They took possession of the body and started the investigation.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old domestic worker employed at a residence in Madina Town ingested poisonous tablets for unknown reasons. The tablets had been brought by the homeowner to protect wheat from rodents.
