Sky Sports braces pundits as Man City’s 115-charge verdict expected this week | The Express Tribune

Sky Sports has warned its pundits to avoid making “snap judgments” on Manchester City’s 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules, with a verdict expected this week as per Daily Mail.

The broadcaster has issued internal guidance urging staff to “stick to the facts” when commenting on the legal battle and has shared a detailed factfile outlining the long-running case. The document also reminds pundits, including Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, and Roy Keane, that any ruling could be subject to appeal.

City, accused of financial breaches spanning 2009 to 2018, have consistently denied any wrongdoing. The charges include failing to provide accurate financial information, misrepresenting player and manager contracts, and non-cooperation with the league’s investigation.

Sky’s internal memo highlights that both Manchester City and the Premier League may claim victory regardless of the outcome. Pundits have been asked to allow sufficient time to digest the decision and direct viewers to Sky Sports News for further updates.

With potential punishments ranging from fines to points deductions, the verdict could have major implications for English football. If found guilty of serious breaches, City could also face legal challenges from rival clubs.

The Premier League’s decision is expected “within the next month or so,” marking a critical moment in the ongoing dispute between the reigning champions and league authorities.
