Source: Fins, WR Westbrook-Ikhine reach deal

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a two-year contract with free agent wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, a source told ESPN amid multiple reports.

Westbrook-Ikhine set career-highs in 2024 with 497 receiving yards and nine touchdowns for the Titans. At 6-foot-2, 211 pounds, he brings a size element that the room otherwise lacks.

The Dolphins have searched extensively for a third wide receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Westbrook-Ikhine should compete for the role with second-year wide receiver Malik Washington, as well as whoever else the team brings in this offseason.

Last season, Miami brought in Odell Beckham Jr. to fill the role but a knee injury limited him to 9 catches for 55 yards in 9 games; he was released in December.

Westbrook-Ikhine signed a one-year extension with the Titans before last season. He started the year as a backup behind 2022 first-round draft pick Treylon Burks. After not being targeted once through the first four weeks, Westbrook-Ikhine reeled off four consecutive games when he moved into the starting position in Week 6 after Burks injured his knee and was out for the remainder of the season.

The fifth-year veteran joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2020. He has 126 receptions for 1,773 yards and 19 touchdowns in five seasons.

ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques and Turron Davenport contributed to this report.
