KARACHI: Two people including a woman were killed in separate knife attacks in Karachi, with the police detaining suspects in one case and launching a manhunt in the other.

In the first incident, a dispute over water supply in a residential building in Lyari escalated into violence, leading to the fatal stabbing of a man identified as Nasir. According to police, three brothers attacked him with a knife during the altercation. The police took the suspects into custody, and launched investigations into the matter.

In another shocking incident, a woman was found dead in a private hotel room near Nursery on Sharea Faisal. Police revealed that she had been stabbed to death, allegedly by her ex-husband. The suspect, a butcher residing on II Chundrigar Road, fled the scene after the crime.

Authorities disclosed that he had taken a knife from his shop the previous evening before the alleged killing. After the murder, he reportedly informed his brothers and a friend before going into hiding. Police are actively working to track down the suspect and his associates, who also remain at large.
