Two sentenced to death in ransom-murder case | The Express Tribune



RAWALPINDI:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sentenced two criminals to death in a ransom cum murder case. Judge Amjad Ali Shah delivered the verdict after charges against the suspects were proved in the case registered with Fateh Jang police in Attock district.

The court ordered that the two criminals be hanged until their death, stating that abduction for ransom followed by brutal murder is a serious, unforgivable crime, and such criminals are not entitled to any leniency.

The court also sentenced both Atiq Khan, son of Fazal Dad and Yasir Ali to life imprisonment for the abduction for ransom charge. Additionally, they were given a collective sentence of nine years each under various other charges, along with a fine of Rs2.3 million as compensation. If the fine is not paid, they will serve an additional six months in prison.

According to the case record, Atiq and Yasir abducted one Faisal and demanded Rs50m from the family.]
